COPA 71 – FOOTBALL IS FOR THE 99%

This documentary tells the story of a World Cup played in Mexico in front of hundreds of thousands of fans, but soon belittled, hidden, and then forgotten about for decades. The reason? It was “only” women’s football. The story of this tournament reminds LGBTQI+ people that no matter how badly you are pushed away, forced to stay behind and far from the pitch: the joy of football prevails. Because football is for everybody.
