Since 2003, they have worked with LGBTI+ young people, between 14 and 23 years of age to create a world where they are equal, safe, and valued in the diversity of their identities and experiences.

They also advocate and campaign on behalf of young LGBTI+ people, and offer a specialised LGBTI+ youth service with a focus on mental and sexual health, alongside drug and alcohol support. They respond to the needs of LGBTI+ young people in Ireland and help them thrive.

Despite significant progress in the past years, Ireland remains a place where it is difficult for trans people to lead safe, healthy and integrated lives. TENI engages in activities that promote the equality and well-being of trans people in Ireland. They work nationally in four main areas: healthcare, employment, education and legislation. There are three strands to their work: Advocacy, Education and Support.

Switch Board LGBTQIA Support and Resources

We provide confidential and non-judgemental listening and support helplines 7 days per week. Our phone lines are geared towards offering support and resources to different areas of the community on different days with trained volunteers able to provide more specialised help and support in those areas.

Anyone can call us on any day of course, but we encourage people to use the dedicated helplines when possible as volunteers on those helplines will often have additional training or a background in that area.
