Notice of Road Closures and Traffic Diversions for the annual Dublin Pride Parade on Saturday June 25th 2022

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN

The annual Dublin Pride Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday June 25th. The parade will start on O’Connell Street at 12.00pm and go to Merrion Square where the Pride Festival Village will operate until 7.30pm. The following road closures, including suspension of on street parking will be in place. Diversions will be in place. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout. 

North Side of City 

Road Closures: Cavendish Row, Parnell Square East, Parnell Square North, North Frederick Street, North Great Georges Street 07:00 to 16:00 on 25th June 2022

O’Connell Street Upper and Lower will have a rolling road closure from 08:00 until the parade has cleared O’Connell Street and it is safe to re-open.

Suspension of Parking: Gardiner Row and Great Denmark All Day on 25th June 2022. 

This means that if you have a permit to park on any of these roads you may park on an adjacent road outside the cordon. This has been agreed with Dublin Street Parking Services.

Parade Route

The parade route is as follows:

  • O’Connell Street
  • Eden Quay
  • Custom House Quay
  • Talbot Memorial Bridge
  • City Quay
  • Lombard Street East
  • Westland Row
  • Lincoln Place
  • Merrion Street Lower
  • Merrion Square

There will be disruptions along the route between 12:00 and 16:00 on 25th June 2022

South Side of City – From 6.00am to 10.00pm

Road Closures: Merrion Square South, Merrion Square East, Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Mount Street Upper from 06:00 to 22:00 on 25th June 2022

Suspension of Parking: Merrion Square North and Merrion Square West All Day on 25th June 2022.

This means that if you have a permit to park on any of these roads, you may park on an adjacent road outside the cordon. This has been agreed with Dublin Street Parking Services.

For the duration of the Parade, approximately 12.00pm to 3.00pm, traffic will also be disrupted along both north and south quays and Lombard Street and Westland Row.

Local Access and Parking

We will hold an open information afternoon on Monday June 20th from 2.00pm to 6.00pm at the Dublin Pride Hub, 18-19 Duke Street, Dublin 2.
