Live Out Loud
Live Out Loud is a national campaign that celebrates LGBTI+ young people and shows how they are visible, valued and included in culture, society and sport.
The campaign launched on International Coming Out Day, 11 October 2020 with an open call for creative submissions of stories clearly showing how young people and adults contribute positively to the LGBTI+ youth community.
LGBTI+ young people heard the call and we’ve received songs, poems, spoken word pieces, dance performances and art pieces from creatively showing how they feel about being LGBTI+ in Ireland today.
A live-streamed celebration of the Live Out Loud campaign will be broadcast live from the stage of the National Opera House, Wexford on YouTube and Facebook and our Pride TV on 25 June at 8 pm. Hosted by Stephen Byrne and featuring special guests Irish rock band Pillow Queens, the show will feature LGBTI+ young people creatively telling their stories from such iconic locations as the National Library of Ireland, The Hugh Lane Gallery and the Gallery of Photography Ireland.
