SUMMARY:Pride At Work Coffee Club
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMay’s Pride At Work Coffee Club is hosted by Technology Ireland. \n\n\n\nJoin us on May 19th when our host Alex Campbell (they/them) will be joined by Siobhán Cafferty (she/her) of Simplified.ie \n\n\n\nSiobhán Cafferty spent 20+ years\, at the practitioner level\, supporting marginalised communities to seek and find opportunities that could change their future forever. Having seen the many challenges\, gaps and blocks experienced by people most in need\, the case-by-case solutions didn’t cut it. They were labour intensive\, frustrating for both staff but particularly for the individual’s experiencing the issue and often led to short term solutions only for the process to start all over again for the next client or service user. \n\n\n\nSiobhán felt more needed to be done to work on long term solutions so decided to move into strategy and policy development influencing Government Departments to do better\, to move beyond the siloed vision and operations and to think differently\, particularly in the social enterprise and social innovation sectors. Siobhán was recognised on the Euclid Network’s Top 100 Women in Social Enterprise list for 2022 for her significant work in social innovation and employment for marginalised groups in Ireland. \n\n\n\nSimplified is a result of many years of seeing\, doing and believing that when we come together\, we create real\, tangible and sustainable solutions while also keeping it simple. \n\n\n\nAGENDA \n\n\n\n10.00am – 10.30am Coffee and Networking \n\n\n\n10.30am – 11.30am Alex Campbell in conversation with Siobhán Cafferty \n\n\n\n11.30am – 12.00pm Coffee and Networking

SUMMARY:Lavender Walk - Tonie's Queer History Walking Tour of Dublin
DESCRIPTION:BOOK TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOverview \n\n\n\nThe original LGBTQ+ history walking tour of Dublin hosted by Tonie Walsh\, every day during Dublin Pride week. \n\n\n\nAbout this event \n\n\n\nLong considered an indispensable part of Dublin Pride\, Lavender Walk\, Tonie’s queer history tour of Dublin returns this June for a limited run. \n\n\n\nTour departs from Bernardo Square\, next to City Hall. Duration: 90 mins approx. Dress fabulous. \n\n\n\nYour Host\, Tonie Walsh\n\n\n\nArchivist\, activist and historian\, Tonie Walsh has had a long engagement with Ireland’s LGBTQ+ civil rights movement\, stretching back to 1979. He also has a huge knowledge of Dublin’s queer social history\, having spent many years working as a DJ and events promoter. \n\n\n\nTonie is a co-founder of GCN magazine\, which he edited during its early\, pioneering years. \n\n\n\nIn 1997\, he re-organised archive holdings of various groups including the National LGBT Federation into what would later become known as the Irish Queer Archive (IQA). The archive was transferred to state ownership at the National Library of Ireland in 2008. \n\n\n\nThroughout 2021\, he co-curated the ambitious Living With Pride programme at the National Library of Ireland. It didn’t feel fixed and structured. Albert \n\n\n\nTonie was such an amazing and welcoming person\, I highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to learn more about the LGBTQ cultuer in Dublin or Ireland. This visit was a great way to start my trip in Dublin. Thank you Tonie! Angélique \n\n\n\nWould highly recommend this. He was enthusiastic\, humourous\, informative but very emotional when telling true stories about real people who passionately tried to change laws and atttitudes. Tonie also had huge knowledge about architecture and Ireland’s history in general. Tom & Debbie \n\n\n\nTonie is a remarkable storyteller; we were capitvated. What a great experience to understand both the history of Ireland and the history of the LGBTQ community – and how the two are indelibly intertwined. I could have listened all day and loved his company. Bianca \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipants enjoying Lavender Walk during Dublin Pride 2022. SUMMARY:Queer Georgians: The Ladies of Llangollen
DESCRIPTION:GET TICKETS\n\n\n\n\nQueer Georgians: The Ladies of Llangollen\, explores queer Irish voices from the past at Dublin Pride. \n\n\n\nDr. Anthony Delaney\, author of Queer Georgians and host of History Hit’s After Dark podcast\, joins Tadhg Sudlow (fiddle)\, Xander Baker (cello)\, Ellen Bolger (harpsichord) for a night of history\, storytelling and music. \n\n\n\nA unique combination of baroque and Irish trad music draws the listener into the world of Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby\, two women from Kilkenny who eloped in 1778 to escape their destined fates of marriage or a future in a convent. This is a history of great love and acceptance\, starting with difficult family pressures in Kilkenny and ending in fifty years of companionship in the Welsh countryside. \n\n\n\nDublin Pride’s 2026 theme “One Story – Many Voices” is about the thread that connects us across time\, across borders\, across very different lived experiences. \n\n\n\nJoin us for an evening where the remarkable story of these two women is heard once again.
