Queer History Walking Tour
Long considered an indispensable part of Dublin Pride celebrations, the Queer History Walking Tour returns on Sunday 18 June. Hosted by activists Tonie Walsh and Ciarán Coleman of the Irish Queer Archive, the tour will be preceded by a screening of Our Love Is History, a 20 min documentary by Caroline Campbell.
In Our Love is History, the politics of Dublin’s dance floor of the 1980s are revisited and remixed by the children of their revolution. A poignant and evocative oral history where the experiences of two generations past and present merge at various Dublin locations, the film was winner of Best Short at GAZE Film Festival 2013.
